Job Title: Maintenance Planner
Location: Portsmouth (HM Naval Base)
Service Area: O&M, Service Delivery
Hours of Work: 37 Per week

What You’ll be doing:
As a member of the Service Desk team, the Maintenance Planner will play a key role in scheduling maintenance activities to support the operation of Portsmouth Naval Base, ensuring work is programmed to deliver maximum efficiency, whilst ensuring full compliance with all relevant statutory obligations.
The successful applicant will play a key role in Planned and Reactive assisted scheduling activities. With the use of a list of standard tasks, hours and SQEP / resource availability, you will be responsible for identifying opportunities to deliver increased efficiencies, through consolidation of tasking based on type and / or geographical placement.
You’ll also support the tasking of reactive activities through systematic trend analysis of historic failure types / rates and liaising with the Operation and Maintenance Manager to reduce the likelihood of rework and ensure a ‘right first time’ approach; providing increased efficiency in rectification and value for money.
You’ll Have:
Computer Aided Facility Management (CAFM) user knowledge and experience (ideally) and have had experience in working with technical specifications and have a good understanding of safe systems of work. As a self-motivated planner and organiser with a strong work ethic and high personal standards, you’ll have worked successfully as a member of a small team, having developed excellent communication skills and have the ability to work with others to accomplish objectives and deliver a positive result while developing and maintaining open, honest and constructive relationships.
