Thanks to the KBS Maritime Rigging team alongside Paul Murphy from our SHE Team, we’ve been able to give nearly 10 tonnes of old rope a second life – instead of being wasted in landfills or incinerated, it’s being transformed into various items such as spill kits!

Working with Plastic Expert it is a truly amazing feeling to see the lines that once secured the Royal Navy fleet alongside at Portsmouth now being put to alternative use.

As part of our strong Net Carbon Zero ethos, we are dedicated to supporting the HMNB Portsmouth achieving Net Zero Carbon by 2030.

While our expert Strategic Estates team is working tirelessly to develop and support the sustainability strategy, and our Project Execution team is designing and implementing it with the utmost attention to resilient energy solutions, we can make an impact day-to-day by highlighting opportunities for reducing, re-using, and recycling.
