Congratulations to Claire Kennedy, Head of Alongside Services, who has been shortlisted in the Most Collaborative category at this year’s Women in Defence Awards.
It’s a fantastic achievement and recognition of the collaborative approach that sits at the heart of the services Claire and her team deliver every day across Portsmouth Naval Base.
From supporting more than 900 ship moves and over 12,000 heavy lifts each year, to providing critical temporary utility connections and operational support, the Alongside Services team works with customers, partners and stakeholders across the Naval Base to keep operations moving safely and efficiently.
Leading that activity requires strong relationships, clear communication and a shared focus on finding solutions. Under Claire’s leadership, the team has continued to strengthen partnerships, improve ways of working and deliver the services that help support operational readiness across the Base.
While this recognition is a fantastic achievement for Claire, it also reflects the commitment of the wider Alongside Services team and the many people they work with every day. Together, they help deliver the critical services and support that Defence relies upon.
At KBS Maritime, we’re proud to champion diversity and inclusion across our business. Through our commitment to the Women in Defence Charter, we continue to support positive change across our organisation and the wider defence community, helping create greater opportunities for current and future generations working in the sector.
Congratulations to Claire and to all the other women, men and organisations recognised in this year’s Women in Defence Awards shortlist.
