KBS Maritime has achieved Gold in this year’s Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS), the Ministry of Defence’s highest accolade for employers that show exceptional support for the Armed Forces community.
The award recognises organisations that actively support serving personnel, Reservists, veterans, military families and cadets through their policies, practices and workplace culture.
This achievement is an important milestone for KBS Maritime, following our Bronze award in 2023 and Silver in 2025.
As a partner to the Royal Navy, we are committed to building a workplace where the Armed Forces community feels valued and supported. Our policies include additional paid leave for Reservists to fulfil training and service commitments, enhanced leave for military spouses and partners, and continued support for the Cadet Forces and the development opportunities they provide.
“Achieving Gold in the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme is something we are incredibly proud of. It recognises the culture we have built and our commitment to supporting the Armed Forces community,” said James Davis, Managing Director of KBS Maritime. “As a business working alongside the Royal Navy every day, we understand the value that serving personnel, veterans, Reservists, military families and cadets bring. We want KBS Maritime to be a place where they feel supported, valued and able to succeed.
“This award reflects the efforts of colleagues across the business who have helped create policies and an environment that genuinely support our Armed Forces community. Thank you to everyone who has played a part in this achievement. While we are proud to have reached Gold, we will continue looking for ways to strengthen our support in the years ahead.”
Receiving Gold reflects the dedication of our people and our continued commitment to being an employer of choice for the Armed Forces community.
